L is for Ladybug (Letter L)

The 3rd week of preschool at home brings the lovely letter L. Have fun with your little ones and feel free to post any additional ideas and suggestions in the comments section!

Book of the Week

A Day with the Grouchy Ladybug
By Eric Carle

Summary: The story of a bad-tempered bug who won't say "please" or "thank you," won't share, and thinks she is bigger and better than anyone else. As children follow the Grouchy Ladybug on her journey, they will learn the important concepts of time, size, and shape, as well as the benefits of friendship and good manners.

Beginning Letter Sounds “L” Cards

There are four pages shown in this set. Two pages have 9 picture cards each with objects that begin with the Letter T. Included are 18 word cards. Print the sheets, cut them out and laminate them to make them more sturdy. The cards can be used in teaching beginning Letter T sounds. Parents can help your preschoolers cut out the pictures that begin with the letter and glue them to a sheet of paper to make a Letter F book or collage. Or they can also be used as a matching game for older children to match word to picture. Click on the ladybug above to download a copy.
